Abortion status in the U.S. in 2015
In 2015, the number of abortions for women ages 15 to 44 reported to the CDC in the 49 regions of the United States was 638,169.
11.8 per 1,000 women aged 15 to 44 had an abortion.
From 2014 to 2015, 1,000 children were born alive, while 188 had abortions.
