① If any of your biological parents, siblings, or parents have a past or current history of atopic dermatitis, allergic rhinitis, food allergy, asthma, drug allergy, poison ivy contact dermatitis, insect allergy, or another allergic disease, or if they have atopic dermatitis, their siblings are highly likely to develop other allergic diseases, such as asthma, allergic rhinitis, or atopic dermatitis. As such, asthma is a type of hereditary disease.
② Physical exercise, such as running, swimming, or jumping, can trigger asthma attacks. Asthma attacks triggered by physical exercise are called exercise-induced asthma, or exercise-induced asthma.

③ Asthma attacks can be triggered by colds, viral upper respiratory infections, viral lower respiratory infections, and other viral infections.
Asthma triggered by viral upper respiratory infections such as colds is called viral-induced asthma.
It is said that 70% of infants and young children with a history of acute bronchiolitis develop asthma attacks.
The reason for this is not clear. [Parents Should Become Anti-Doctors Too – Pediatric Family Nursing Encyclopedia] – See Volume 8, Pediatric and Adolescent Respiratory Diseases – Colds, Viral Acute Laryngitis

④ Asthma attacks can be triggered by cigarette smoke, smoke from factory chimneys, automobile exhaust fumes, polluted air, odors and vapors from gasoline, paint, volatile chemicals, toxic gases, perfumes, cosmetics, or cleaning chemicals. This is not allergic asthma.

⑤ Asthma attacks can be triggered by aspirin, vaccines, penicillin, anesthetics, or other medications.
⑥ Foods such as milk, eggs, nuts, peanuts, chocolate, fish, wheat-based foods, or food additives and artificial food colorings can trigger asthma attacks.
⑦ Cold air, temperature changes, or humidity changes can trigger asthma attacks. Asthma triggered by cold air is called cold-induced asthma.
⑧ Asthma attacks can be triggered by dog, cat, bird hair, dander, saliva, and urine. Pillows or blankets made of animal hair or feathers can also trigger asthma attacks. Sleeping on these types of pillows can especially trigger nocturnal asthma attacks.

⑫ Gastroesophageal reflux can trigger asthma attacks.
Infants and young children, formula, breast milk, or other foods can reflux from the stomach into the esophagus. This gastroesophageal reflux can trigger an asthma attack.
