Breast Feeding status in U.S.
Approximately 85% of mothers who gave birth in the United States began breastfeeding in 2015.
Among them, 47% continued to breastfeed until 3 months of age, and approximately 25% continued to breastfeed until 6 months of age. By 2020, the goal is to have 36% of babies at least partially breastfed until they are at least 12 months old.
