2018년 미국 22주 내에 62건의 급성 이완 마비 감염병이 소아들에게 발생했다.
팔다리가 약해지거나 마비 상태의 증상이 다.
어떤 특정 바이러스나 박테리아 감염, 또는 독성으로 인한 원인을 조사했으나 원인을 찾지 못했다.
그러나 한 케이스에서 엔테로 바이스를 검출했다. 그러나 폴리오 바이러스는 검출되지 않았다.

Acute flaccid paralysis
In 2018, 62 cases of acute flaccid paralysis infection occurred in children within 22 states in the United States.
Symptoms of limb weakness or paralysis have occurred.
Although it was caused by a specific virus, bacterial infection, or toxicity, the cause was investigated and the cause could not be found.
However, an enterovirus was detected in one case. However, poliovirus was not detected.
