1. Gross hematuria
Hematuria that is detectable with the naked eye is called gross hematuria.
2. Occult hematuria
Occult hematuria occurs when blood is present in the urine, but is too small to be seen with the naked eye.
3. Microscopic hematuria
Microscopic hematuria refers to hematuria that is detectable with a microscopic urine examination. ● A few red blood cells in a microscopic urine examination is normal in healthy children, adolescents, and adults.
● When occult hematuria is present, the urine color is usually the same as normal urine color.
● When gross hematuria is present, the urine color may be red or coffee-colored.

Most of the content of the above posting is from www.koreapediatrics.com. Although it has a professional aspect, I believe it will be very helpful in raising children and adolescents. However, the information here cannot replace the information, diagnosis, and treatment you get from your doctor. None. www.koreapediatrics.com Parents should also become semi-doctors.
