가시아메바 각막염
Acanthamoeba keratitis
가시아메바 각막염(Acanthamoeba keratitis)은 눈의 각막에 가시아메바 원충에 감염되어 생기는 원충 감염 각막염이다.
특히 콘택트 렌즈를 쓰는 사람이 물속에 오염된 가시아메바 원충에 감염되면 이 병에 걸릴 수 있다.
가시아메바 각막염에 걸려도 눈에 통증이 생기지도 않으면서 실명할 수 있다. 소스: MMWR 5/17/2019

Acanthamoeba Keratitis
Acanthamoeba keratitis is a protozoan infection of the cornea caused by the protozoan Acanthamoeba.
Contact lens wearers are particularly susceptible to this condition if they become infected with the protozoan in water.
