전신 홍반 루프스(Systemic lupus erythematosus /SLE)는

만성 자가면역 질환이다.

이 병을 앓는 70~90%는 여성이다.

지금까지 완치 시킬 수 있는 약은 없다.

최근 Belimumab (Benlysta) 혈관 주사로 치료한 결과 효과가 좋다고 한다.

Belimumab for the Treatment of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE)

Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) is

a chronic autoimmune disease.

Approximately 70–90% of those affected by this condition are women.

To date, there is no medication that offers a complete cure.

Recent reports indicate that treatment using intravenous Belimumab (Benlysta) has yielded positive results.
