C-reactive protein (CRP)

C-반응 단백질은 피속에 있는 단백질의 일종이다. 신체 내 어떤 종류의 염증이 있으면 C-반응 단백질 농도가 증가한다.

의사들이 환자에게 염증성 질환이 있나 또는 어떤 병이 있나 알아보기 위해 이 검사를 필요에 따라 한다.

고도 감수성 C-반응 단백질 농도 검사 A high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) test 를 심장마비를 일으킬 수 있는 관상 동맥 막힘 정도를 알아보기 위해서도 쓴다.

요즘 그람음성 박테리아 감염병을 항생제로 치료하는 중 치료 결과를 알아 보는 데 C-반응단백질(C-reactive protein, CRP) 검사를 이용하기도 한다.

C-reactive protein is a protein found in the blood. When there is any type of inflammation in the body, C-reactive protein levels increase.

Doctors may use this test on an as-needed basis to determine if a patient has an inflammatory condition or other medical condition.
A high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) test is also used to assess the degree of coronary artery blockage that can lead to a heart attack.
C-reactive protein (CRP) testing is also used to monitor the response to antibiotic treatment for Gram-negative bacterial infections.
