This report describes the epidemiology and clinical course of patients from 26 states who had multisystem inflammatory syndrome. Many were infected with SARS-CoV-2 at least 1 to 2 weeks before syndrome onset.

The median age of the patients was 8.3 years, and 73% were previously healthy.
