좋은 의사가 되기가 어려워요
It’s hard to be a good doctor
“First, Do No Harm’ 이란 말이 있다.
이 말은 히포크라테스 선서에 있는 말이 아니다.
이 말의 뜻은 이렇다,
환자의 마음을 상하게 말라,
경제적으로 해를 끼치지 말라,
육체적으로 해를 끼치지 말라,
윤리 도덕적으로 해를 끼치지 말라,
성적으로 해를 끼치지 말라.
환자를 네 몸같이, 네 가족같이 사랑으로 치료하라.
거기다가
의사는 5C와 3A로 진료하라고.
동정심과 사려심(Compassion)을 가지고 진료하라
환자가 가지고 있는 문제에 관심사(Concerning)를 가지고 진료하라
의사 소통(Communication)을 잘 해 진료하라
잘 치료 (Cure) 해주고
치료뿐만 아니라 보살핌(Care)을 해 주고 진료하라
많은 의료 능력(Ability)과 지식을 가지고
여유가 있고 겸손하고 Affordable , 진단 치료 추적치료를 잘 해 줘라
환자가 필요할 때 도와줄 수 있게 Availability를 가지고 있는 의사가 되어야 한다고.
참말로 좋은 의사가 되기 어렵다.
그래만이 의학 박사, 의사 선생님이 되고, Doctor라고 불리고. 언제든지 환자들이 많이 몰려든다 . 그러나 의사는 부자는 될 수 없다.
이런 의사는 아프리카에서도 찾고 한국에서 찾고 미국에서도 찾고 하늘에서도 찾는다. 참말로 좋은 의사가 되기가 어려워요. John Sangwon Lee

It’s hard to be a good doctor.
There’s a saying, “First, do no harm.”
This isn’t a line from the Hippocratic Oath.
It means:
Do not hurt the patient emotionally.
Do not harm them financially.
Do not harm them physically.
Do not harm them ethically or morally.
Do not harm them sexually.
Treat the patient with love, as if they were your own body or family.
Moreover,
doctors should practice the 5Cs and 3A’s.
Treat with compassion and consideration.
Treat with concern for the patient’s problems.
Communicate well and treat.
Treat well and provide care in addition to treatment.
Have extensive medical ability and knowledge.
Be humble, affordable, and good at diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care. Give it to them.
You must become a doctor who is available to help patients when they need it.
It’s truly difficult to become a good doctor.
Only then can you become a medical doctor, a doctor, and be called a doctor. Patients flock to you at any time. However, doctors cannot become rich.
You can find such doctors in Africa, Korea, the United States, and even heaven. It’s truly difficult to become a good doctor. John Sangwon Lee
