나는 오늘 어머님 아버님 두 부모님 산소와 나의 사랑하는 아내 산소, 그리고 매제의 산소에 가서 고운 사발에 산소 흙을 수저로 떠 이쁜 사발에 담아 가지고 집으로 가지고 왔다.

내가 80년대 초기 여동생들, 남 동생들 심지어는 조카들까지 한국에서 미국으로 이민시켰다. 오늘 부모님 산소에 갔더니 누가 부모님, 나의 아내, 매제의 묘에 꽃을 갔다 놓아 참 기뻗다.

그런데 우리 집안에서 가징 늙은 내가 그 산소 근방에 살고 있지만 말 한마디도 없이 그냥 산소만 왔다 간 것 같아 서운 했다.

하였던 부모의 산소, 나의 아내의 산소, 나의 매제의 산소를 찾아 왔다가 간 가족에게 정말로 고맙다는 인사를 드린다.

오늘 산소에서 몇 수저 떠온 흙 사발을 나의 침실 방에 놓고 사랑하면서 항상 감사드리려고 한다.

부모님께, 나의 아내에게, 그리고 매제에게 매일 인사 하려고 한다.

박사님의 사모님께서 별세하신 사실은 오늘 처음으로 알게 되었습니다. 억장이 무너지는듯한 극한 슬픔과 살아갈수록 더욱 아내에대한 그리움과 지난날의 많은 기억나는 일들은 세월이 지난다해도 가슴속에서 응어리되어 뭉처 있을 것입니다.

Lee 박사님을 뵌적은 없지만 아내를 마음 다해 사랑하고 하나님을 섬기며 인류를 귀히 여기시는 마음을 읽을수 있어서 이박사님을 존경하면서, 이박사님의 가정이 변함없이 행복 하시기를 염원하였습니다.

저역시 남편을 일찍이 먼저 보내고 지금도 꿈속에서 만나면 생시와 같이 흐뭇했던 감정으로 훈훈함을 느끼곤 합니다.

Lee 박사님깨서는 인류를 위해서 공헌하실 일들이 남아 있고 책도 많이 편찬하셨지만

더욱 정진 하실줄 믿습니다.

삼가 고인의 명복을 빕니다. 사랑하는 아내가 남편을 두고 마음아프게 먼저 떠났지만

주님 품안에서 안식하실 것입니다. 아멘 주예수님 아멘!!!

감사합니다 송영복 여사님, 글도 잘 쓰시고 저를 격려해주시고. 1965년 숙명 여고 숙명 여대 약대를 졸업한 미인 천제 숙녀 나의 사랑을 맞난 후 결혼생활을 53년간 하다가 수차려 생긴 뇌졸중으로 이세상을 2018년에 떠났지(‘뇌절중에 걸린 사랑하는 아내를 돌보면서’ 파랑새 메디이/ 이상원 저 8.15,2022 출판).

나는 63년도 충청 남북도에서 혼자 연세 의대릏 졸업 한 후 우리 둘이 시골 서산에서 결혼하자 돈을 싹 쓰러 가마니에 담겠다고 주위 사람들이 수근 수근 거렸지만 그후 5년 동안 가난하게 살다가 우리는 단돈 50 불을 호주머니 속에 넣고 1968년 미국에 와서 ‘The first, Do No harm” 인술을 베플면서 살아 왔지요.

이제는 제가 가진 2만 여권 의학 서적, 논어, 성경, 불경, 명심 보감, 시경 등 한글판 서적 등과 500여점 세계에서 유명한 사진, 그림 및 그 동안 모인 내가 찍은 2만여종 꽃 사진 등을 진열 할 수 있는 특히 Grand piano 등 가재를 소장할 수 있는 한국이나 미국에 위치한 박물관을 만드는 것이 저의 한입니다.

또 저의 저서 및 웹으로 한국은 물론 이북 및 전 세계 70억 인류를 돕는 일이 남아 있씁니다. 지금도 자비로 인술을 베플면서 살고 있지요.

어제는 충남 태안군 안면읍 안중 초등학교 총무과 송여사에게 전화해서 내가 나온 초등 학교에 이상원 박물관을 만들자고 제의하기도.

내가 이곳 모든 책 등을 내 비용으로 운반하고 내가 직접 가서 설치하려거 해요. 그와 동시 박물관 장학금도 설치하고 그 동안 내기 직접 찍은 가든 야생화 꽃 2만개, 27권 나의 저서를 이용 해 수익금을 잡아 써 보라고 제의도 했습니다.

몇 년전 집 사람과같이 청양 칠갑산, 부여, 만경평야, 군산, 변산 반도, 전주와 전주 이씨 박물관, 목포, 진도, 해남, 낙양읍성 등을 구경하고 남한 거의를 일주 하면서 정약용 박물관, 운림 삼방도 보고왔습니다. 긴 글 읽어 주셔 감사합니다. 안면 이상원 소아과 전문의 드림

Today, I went to my mother and father, my beloved wife, and my brother-in-law’s graves and scooped up the soil in a fine bowl with a spoon, put it in a pretty bowl, and brought it home.
I had my sisters, brothers, and even nephews immigrate from Korea to the United States in the early 80s.

Today, when I went to visit my parent’s graves, someone left flowers at the graves of my parents, my wife, and my brother-in-law, which was really heartbreaking.
However, even though I, the oldest person in my family, live near the graves, I felt sad that one of my family members came to the grave and went back to their own house without saying a word.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the families who have come and gone in search of the help of my parents, my wife, and my brother-in-law.
Today, I placed a bowl of dirt from the graves in my bedroom table, loved it, and will always be grateful.
I try to say hello to my parents, my wife, and my brother-in-law every day.
Thank God.

Today I learned for the first time that the doctor Lee’s wife passed away.

The more I live with the extreme sadness that feels like my mind is collapsing, the more I miss my husband and the many memories of the past that will remain tightly coiled in my heart even as time passes.
Although I have never met Dr. Lee, I could see that he loved his wife with all his heart, served God, and valued humanity. I respected Dr. Lee and hoped that Dr. Lee’s family would continue to be happy.
I also lost my husband early on, and even now, when I meet him in my dreams, I feel warm and happy just like when I was alive.
Dr. Lee has many contributions left to make for humanity and he has compiled many books.
I believe he will work harder.
May the souls of the deceased refrain. His beloved wife left her husband heartbreakingly first.
She will rest in the arms of her Lord. Amen Lord Jesus Amen!!!

Thank you, Mrs. Song Young-bok, for writing well and encouraging me. My wife was a beautiful woman who graduated from the College of Pharmacy at Sookmyung Girls’ High School in 1965. After meeting my love, I was married for 53 years and passed away in 2018 due to a series of strokes.

After graduating from Yonsei Medical School alone in Chungcheong Province in 1963, the two of us got married in rural Seosan. People around us whispered that we would make a lot of money and put it in our bags, but after living in poverty for the next five years, we ended up with only $50 in our pockets. I came to the United States in 1968 and lived my life practicing pediatrics with, “The first, do no harm.”
Now, I have a grand piano where I can display my 20,000 medical books, the Analects of Medicine, the Bible, Buddhist scriptures, Korean versions of books such as Myeongsimbogam, Sikyeong, etc., as well as 500 world-famous photographs, paintings, and 20,000 kinds of wild and garden flower photos I have photographed in the world.

My goal now is to create a museum located either in Korea or the United States .
Also, through my books and the pediatric web, I have the remaining work to do to help the 80 million people in South Korea and North Korea and the 70 billion people around the world. Even now, I live by practicing healing arts at my own expense.
Yesterday, I called Ms. Song of the general affairs department at Anjung Elementary School in Anmyeon-eup, Taean-gun, Chungcheongnam-do and suggested that we create a Lee Sang-won Museum at my elementary school.
I’m going to transport all the books, etc. here at my own expense and go and install them myself.

At the same time, I established a museum scholarship and suggested that the proceeds be used to use the 20,000 garden and wild flowers I personally photographed and my 27 books written by me.
A few years ago, with my wife, I visited Cheongyang Chilgap Mountain, Buyeo, Mangyeong Plain, Gunsan, Byeonsan Peninsula, Jeonju and Jeonju Lee Museum, Mokpo, Jindo, Haenam, and Nakyang-eupseong Fortress, and traveled around most of South Korea to see Jeong Yak-yong Museum and Unlim Sambang.
