While a student at Yonsei University College of Medicine, I worked as a free healthcare doctor in my hometown, Anmyeondo no Doctor Village, in 1960. My father, a farmer, came to see me with several other students and a medical school specialist given free health care and was very happy to see his son acting as a doctor.
