불초 소생은 업드려 인사드립니다.
저는 소아과 의사이고 정치에 관해는 아주 무식합니다.
그러나 피 한 방울을 흘리지 않고 고국에서 7번 70번 용서해 주고 용서받는 일들을 하는 것을 보고 너무도 놀랐습니다.
안면도 섬 농촌에서 연필 하나 없이 책 하나 없이 안중국민학교를 들어가 6년동안 왕복 20리 길을 걸어 6년 만에 졸업하고 홍성 중고교, 연세 의대를 졸럽을 하고 미국에서 의사 노릇을 하면서 집에 거의 2만권 한글, 영어판 책을 소지 하고 있습니다.
우리 고국은 미국, 소련, 중국, 중동 등 어느 나라에서도 보기 드문 좋은 일을 했습니다.
인제 고국에서 부모들은 물론 사회 지도자들도 모두가 지역도서관 ( 동내 도서관, 국민도서관 , 작은 도서관)을 국가 시책으로 적절한 곳에 설입 하고 온 국민이 필요하고 국민들이 시간이 있으면 필요 한 삶 정보를 도서관 책에서 얻도록 하여할 때가 왔습니다.
어떤 책들이 필요한가?.
종교, 사전, 경제, 중·고교·대학 교과서, 법학, 정치, 의학, 공학, 소설, 시집, 이상원 육아서. 콤퓨텨 등등 각종 분야와 가능 한 최신 고서, 영어, 한글, 독일어, 일본어 등 각종 언어 책을 구비 하고 웹페이지와 이 북을 볼 수 있는 콤퓨터도 구비 해서 국민들이 박식 하게 살도록 해야 합니다.
온고지신이라 말이 있듯이 오래된 책도 버리지 말고 또 장소가 남으면 그 지방에서 모범으로 산 인물들의 삶을 기억하는 일도 도서관과 동시 운영하면 좋을 것입니다.
그 지방에서 국민들의 헌금 및 투자도 받고 그분들을 존경하는 일도 같이 하면 좋을 것입니다.
인제 우리 조국은 세계에서 가장 살기 좋은 부유한 국민 나라가 될 것입니다.
저의 집 소장 책도 갖다 쓰고요.
우선 충청남도 홍성군 홍북에 도청 유지 도서관 하나 세우고 더 연구해서 더 세우고요.
그리고 도서관을 효과적으로 운영하기 위해 도서관 관장, 부 관장, 이사진도 구성하고 또 그 지방 유지, 관청 인사들이 주기적으로 모여 회의해서 계속 발전 시키고 도서관 이용 회원권도 발부하고 도서관 발전 헌금 제도도 만들고 그 나라의 도서 출판사 협회와 관계를 맺어 좋은 책을 무료로 대여 받는 것도 연구 하면 좋을 것이고. 요즘 초등학교, 중·고등학교에서 문을 닫을 때 그곳에 쓰던 책도 무료로 받아 쓰면 좋을 것입니다. 미국 이곳에 오셔 여기 도선관 실정을 보고 가셔도 돼고요.

To the president of the Korean Small Library Association,
I humbly greet you. I am a pediatrician, and I am very ignorant of politics. However, I was so surprised to see forgiveness 70 times out of 7 in my home country without shedding a drop of blood.
I entered in 1943, Anjung Elementary School in the rural area of Anmyeondo Island without a single pencil or book, walked 20 li round trip for 6 years, graduated in 6 years, graduated from Hongseong Middle and High School, Yonsei University Medical School, and worked as a doctor in the United States, and now I have almost 20,000 Korean and English books at home.
Our home country has done a great thing that is rare to see in any country, including the United States, the Soviet Union, China, and the Middle East.
Now, it is time for parents and social leaders in our home country to establish local libraries (neighborhood libraries, national libraries, small libraries) in appropriate places as a national policy and ensure that all citizens can obtain the information they need from library books when they have time.
What kind of books do we need?
Religion, dictionaries, economics, middle and high school textbooks, law, politics, medicine,
herbal medicine, engineering, novels, poetry, Lee Sang-won’s parenting books, computers, etc.
We should have the latest old books, books in various languages such as English, Korean, German, and Japanese, and also have computers to view web pages and e-books so that people can live well-informed lives.
As the saying goes, “Old sayings are as good as new ones.”
Don’t throw away old books, and if there is space.
it would be good to remember the lives of exemplary people in the region at the same time as the library.
It would be good to receive investment from the people in the region and respect them at the same time.
Now, my home country will become the best country to live in in the world.
You will use the books I own.
First, you will build one in Hongbuk, Hongseong-gun, Chungcheongnam-do, and you will do more research and build more.
And in order to run the library effectively, it would be good to form a library director, vice director, and board of directors, and have local leaders and government officials meet periodically for development, issue library memberships, create a library development donation system, and form relationships with the country’s book publishers’ associations to donate free books for free.
It would also be good to study how to use the books that were used there for free when elementary, middle, and high schools are closed. You can come to the U.S. and see the state of the library here.
