Chapter 4: Writing Activities
Published books, Connecticut Korean Association magazine, manuscripts to be published by Jeongdam Publishing, etc.
I was the first in Korean history to write the Encyclopedia of Pediatrics and Family Medicine (618 pages) in 1988, and ten years later, the Encyclopedia of Pediatrics and Family Nursing (1,076 pages) in 1998.
I believed these books would be invaluable references for promoting childcare and health for Koreans.
Since then, I have published “Parents Should Be Half-Doctors Too” (Encyclopedia of Pediatrics and Family Nursing), which was made available free of charge to 80 million Koreans worldwide, and newly developed various pediatric and adolescent medicine topics.
I have categorized a total of 25 volumes and launched the web-based Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine website, “Parents Should Be Half-Doctors Too” (www.koreapediatrics.com) (www.drleepediatrics.com).
It has been a long time since medical professionals, such as doctors and nurses, were solely responsible for promoting children’s health and diagnosing, treating, and preventing diseases.
Parents and guardians of growing children and adolescents, in particular, need to understand medical practice in the internet age, just like medical professionals.
This web-based pediatrics and adolescents section will serve as a childcare reference bible for 80 million Koreans worldwide, providing access to information on the health, parenting, definitions, causes, symptoms, signs, diagnosis, treatment, prevention, parenting, sleep, and more, anytime, anywhere.
