been serving the community of Willimantic, Connecticut for the last 32 years.
Born in Chungnam, South Korea, he graduated with his medical degree from the Yonsei University
College of Medicine. He worked in a non-doctor village for 2 years, and then joined the Korean Military,
where he served for 3 years. Upon relocating to the United States, he completed two consecutive
residencies in pediatrics at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, and at the Yale University
School of Medicine.
Distinguished as a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP), the doctor attained board
certification in pediatrics through the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The mission of the ABP is to
advance child health by certifying pediatricians who meet standards of excellence and are committed to
continuous learning and improvement.
Professionally, Dr. Lee serves as the President of the Korean American Association of Connecticut and
is an active member of the National Advisory Board for Democratic Peace and Unification of the
Republic of Korea.
With a passion for teaching, he is a Clinical Assistant Professor within the Department of Pediatrics at
the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and is the Chairperson of the Department of Pediatrics
at Koshin Medical School in Korea.
