의과대학 졸업날, 의과대학 졸업생들은 손을 들고 다음과 같이 선서한다. First, Do No Harm.  의사는 정신적으로나 사회적 고하층에 관계없이, 나이, 남녀, 노소 차별 없이 육체적으로나 경제적으로 환자에게 해를 끼치지 않고 내 몸과 같이 내 가족같이 진료를 한다. 의사가 된 후 환자를 진료할 때 5C: Compassion, Concern, Communication, Cure, Care로 환자를 진료하여야 한다. 좋은 의사가 되기 어렵다.

On the day of their graduation, medical school graduates raise their hands and take the following oath:

First, Do No Harm.

A physician treats patients—regardless of mental state, social status, age, or gender—without causing physical or financial harm, caring for them as if they were one’s own body or family.

Upon becoming a physician, one must treat patients guided by the “5Cs”: Compassion, Concern, Communication, Cure, and Care.

Becoming a good doctor is difficult.
