우리 소아청소년(태아, 신생아, 영아, 유아, 학령기전아, 학령기아, 사춘기아)들이 자라는 동안 근본적으로 필요한 필수 기본 조건 의식주, 건강, 사랑, 인성교육은 특히 부모로부터 받아야 합니다.
그들이 자라는 동안은 물론이고, 다 자라서 성인이 된 후에도 행복하고 건강하게 살 수 있습니다.
그들이 행복하고 건강히 자라서 행복하고 건강한 성인이 되려면 특히 부모의 조건 없는 진정한 사랑을 꼭 받아야 합니다.
그리고 그 국가의 지도자는 이런 사랑 육아 방법을 전체 국민에게 가르치고 실행하도록 정책을 세워야 합니다.
그런 정책을 어떻게 해야 하는지 불초 소생이 아뢰고 싶습니다.

한국, 미국 소아과 전문의 이상원 드림
To President Lee Jae-myung,
Your political leadership has been exceptional—not only within our homeland but on the global stage as well.
For children and adolescents—from the fetal stage and infancy through childhood and adolescence—the fundamental necessities for growth—such as food, clothing, shelter, health, love, and character education—must, above all, be provided by their parents.
When these needs are met, children can grow up to lead happy, healthy lives, both during their formative years and well into adulthood.
To ensure they grow into happy, healthy adults, it is essential that they receive the unconditional, genuine love of their parents.
A nation’s leader should establish policies that teach this approach to child-rearing—rooted in love—and ensure its implementation across the entire population.
I would like to humbly offer my thoughts on how such policies might be shaped.
As a pediatrician in the United States and a specialist in adolescent medicine in Korea—as well as a father of three—I have treated over 500,000 patients. Throughout my career, I have authored 15 books on child-rearing, including an encyclopedia of pediatric and family care, and I currently operate a website, drleepediatrics.com, which provides free resources on raising children with love.
I have now published a guide titled “Raise Your Sons and Daughters with Unconditional, Genuine Love” (through Parangsae Media) and wish to dedicate it to the people of my homeland and to the world at large.
I propose that my works—”Parents Should Also Be Part-Doctors (Drleepediatrics.com)” and “Raise Your Sons and Daughters with Unconditional, Genuine Love”—be adopted as a guide for parenting education in Korea.
Implementing this would not only benefit our own nation but would also help people everywhere lead happier, healthier lives. October 20, 2026
