소아 마비가 아프리카 혼(Horn)에서 2017~2018년에 발생
2015년 2형 소아마비가 전 세계적으로 더 이상 발생하지 않는다고 해서 전세계적으로 경구용 3가 생 소아마비 백신(1, 2, 3형 소아마비 바이러스 백신이 든)을 더 이상 접종 하지 않고 4/2016년 부터 경구용 2가 생소아마비 백신(1, 3형 소아마비 바이러스 백신이 든)으로 소아 마비 예방 접종을 하고 있는데 소아 마비 백신에 든 소아마비 바이러스로 인해 소아 마비가 발생헀다고 한다.
