사춘기 15세~성인 65세는 HIV 바이러스에 감염되어 있는지 알아보기 위해 선별 검사를 하라고 권장한다. 그리고 임신부도 검사를 받으라고 권장한다.
15세 이하의 아이들이나 65세 이상인 성인도 HIV에 감염됐을까 하는 의심이 되면 검사를 받으라고 권장한다. 현재 정맥혈로 항원·항체 검사를 하루가 걸릴 수도 있고, 손가락 모세혈액이나 침으로 20분 내 항원·항체 선별 검사를 할 수도 있다. JAMA 6/18/2019
Human immunodeficiency virus infectious disease screening test
It is recommended that people between the ages of 15 and 65 undergo a screening test to determine if they are infected with HIV. And it is recommended that pregnant women also get tested.
Children under 15 years of age or adults over 65 years of age are also recommended to get tested if they suspect they may be infected with HIV. Currently, an antigen-antibody screening test can be done with venous blood within a day, or an antigen-antibody screening test can be done with finger capillary blood or saliva within 20 minutes.
