나의 어머님 아버님께
의사 아들 내가 1964년 3월 14일에 나의 부인 춘자 약사와 충청남도 서산군 안면도 승언리 장문에서 결혼을 할때 소 한마리를 잡고 손님들 대접하면서 결혼 잔치를 하셧다.
내가 알기로 한국에서 아들 결혼식 잔치를 하기 위 해 생 소 한마리를 잡고 결혼 잔치를 했다는 말을 듲지도 보지도 못 했다. 그날 손님들이 의사아들과 약사 메느리를 두었으니 세상 돈 다 끌어드리겠다고 수근수근 거리엇다.
안면도 농부 아버지께서 이 아들에게 결혼 잔치를 해 주셨 던 것을 오늘 어버이 날을 맞아 감사를 드리기 위 이글을 쓴다. 아버님 어머님 감사 합니다.

To my mother and father
When I, a doctor son, got married to my wife, Chunja, a pharmacist, on March 14, 1964, at Jangmun, Seungeon-ri, Anmyeondo, Seosan-gun, Chungcheongnam-do, they slaughtered a cow and entertained the guests at the wedding feast.
As far as I know, I have never heard or seen anyone slaughter a live cow and have a wedding feast for a son’s wedding in Korea. That day, the guests whispered that they would give all the money in the world because they had a doctor son and a pharmacist wife.
I am writing this article today on Parents’ Day to express my gratitude for the wedding feast my father, a farmer from Anmyeondo, gave to this son. Thank you, father and mother.
