뇌진탕(Cerebral Concussion)을 경험한 10대 아이들에게 뇌진탕이 생긴 이후 12개월 이내에 뇌진탕으로 인해 10대 자살률 위험성이 증가한다는 연구 결과가 나왔다.
또 10대에 생긴 뇌진탕으로 인해 10대 아이에게 기분장애(mood disorder)도 생길 수 있다고 한다.
