Frey’s syndrome is characterized by gustatory sweating, flushing, or both and results from damage to parasympathetic nerve fibers within the parotid gland, with subsequent reinnervation of sweat glands in the skin. Damage to the parasympathetic nerve fibers typically occurs during surgery (e.g., to the parotid gland), but facial trauma is another recognized cause. No specific treatment was provided, and at a follow-up visit when the patient was 3 years of age, the flushing persisted.

프레이 증후군
프레이 증후군은 미각 발한, 홍조 또는 두 가지 모두를 특징으로 하며 이하선 내 부교감 신경 섬유의 손상과 그에 따른 피부 땀샘의 재신경 분포로 인해 발생합니다. 부교감 신경 섬유의 손상은 일반적으로 수술 중에 발생하지만(예: 이하선), 안면 외상도 또 다른 원인으로 알려져 있습니다. 특별한 치료는 이루어지지 않았으며, 3세가 되었을 때 추적관찰 시 홍조가 지속되었다.
