어린이에게 물린 자국이 있거나, 입술이 부어 있거나, 치우식이 심하게 있으면 그 어린이가 아동 학대를 당하고 있는지 의심해 봐야 한다.

어린아들의 머리와 얼굴, 머리와 목에 있는 외상의 50%는 아동학대로 인해 생긴다고 한다.

왕따를 당하는 아이들에게 또 인간 고통·상해(human trafficking)를 받는 아이들에게도 위에서 설명한 외상이 발견될 수 있다.

아동 학대나 유기 생길 수 있는 구강 손상을 더 구체적으로 더 설명하면.

구강- 얼굴 기형이 있거나 치아 기형이 있는 아이들은 왕따를 당하기 쉽다. 그래서 정신적 문제도 생길 수 있다.

육체적으로 또는 성적으로 학대를 받은 아이들에게 다음과 같은 구강, 치아 건강에 이상이 생길 수 있다.

아동학대나 유기는 손으로 , 기구로, 뜨거운 물로, 부식성 물질로 인해 생길 수 있다.

혀, 입슬, 구강 점막, 구개, 잇몸, 소대, 치아 골절, 치아 빠짐, 안면 골 골절, 치태, 치수 귀사, 입슬 부종, 이슬 멍, 화상, 절상, 구강 찰과상과 절상, 경구 성교로 인한 성병, 구개 점막 출혐점등이 아동 학대나 유기로 생길 수 있다.

필요에 따라 당국에 보고하고 소아 전문의와 치과 전문의 치료를 받는다.

If a child has bite marks, swollen lips, or severe tooth decay, you should suspect that the child is being abused.
It’s said that up to 50% of trauma to the head, face, and neck in young children is caused by child abuse.
The trauma described above can also be found in children who are bullied or subjected to human trafficking.
Let’s look more specifically at the oral injuries that can result from child abuse or neglect.
Children with oral-facial or dental deformities are more prone to bullying and may develop psychological problems.
Children who have been physically or sexually abused may develop the following oral and dental health problems: Child abuse and neglect can result from manual, instrumental, hot water, or corrosive substances.
Touch, lip, oral mucosa, palate, gums, frenulum, tooth fractures, tooth loss, facial bone fractures, dental plaque, pulpal erosion, lip swelling, bruises, burns, cuts, oral abrasions and cuts, sexually transmitted diseases from oral sex, and palatal mucosal abscesses can all result from child abuse or neglect.
Report to authorities and seek treatment from a pediatrician or dental specialist, as needed.
