미 소아과 전문의 자격증을 얻는 과정
초중 고교를 마치고 미국내 4년제 대학교과정을 졸업하고
미국 내 정규 의과대 대학 4년제 괴정을 졸업하고,이때부터 의학 박사 (Medical Doctor)부른다,
미국내 정규 병원에서 의료 인턴 과정 1년 연수교육 마치고,
그 다음 소아과 레지턴트 과정 2-3년 마치고,
이때부터 미국 내 소아과 전문의 필기시험을 볼 수 있다. 참고로 나는 수아과 레재런트 2년간 하고 미국 소아과 전문의 필기 시험에 합격 했다.
소아과 전문의 연수 교육을 2년간 더 계속 받거나 소아과 영역 진료를 2년간 받은 후,
미국 소아과 전문의 자격 팔기 시험을 보고 합격할 수 있다.
인제 소아과 전문의 구두시험을 볼 자격을 준다,
그 시험에 합격하면 소아과 전문의 자격을 가질 수 있다.
소아과 전문의으로서 소아과 영역에서 진료를 하는 과정에
적어도 년 40시간 이상 정규 소아과 연수교육 계속 받으면서 그 지방 동료 소아과 전문의으로 부터 좋은 추천을 받아 미국 소아과 전문의 학회에서 소아과 전문의 펠로에 (FAAP)에 지원 합격 하면 미국 소아과 학회 펠로 멤버가 될 수 있다. 미국 소아과 전문의 펠로 멤버는 소아과 진료 과정에서 퇴진할 때까지 연속 년 40시간 이상 최신 소아과 학 연수 교육을 받아야 한다.

The Process of Becoming a Board-Certified Pediatrician in the U.S.
After completing primary and secondary education and graduating from a four-year university in the U.S.,
one must graduate from an accredited U.S. medical school; at that moment, he or she becomes a Medical Doctor
complete a one-year medical internship at an accredited U.S. hospital,
and then complete a two- to three-year pediatric residency program.
At this stage, one becomes eligible to take the written board certification exam in pediatrics. (For reference, I passed the written exam after completing two years of residency.)
After undergoing two additional years of pediatric training or practicing pediatrics for two years,
one can take and pass the pediatric board certification exam.
This grants eligibility to take the oral board examination,
and passing that exam confers board-certified pediatrician status.
While practicing pediatrics,
if one completes at least 40 hours of continuing medical education (CME) annually, receives positive recommendations from local peer pediatricians, and is accepted as a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP), one becomes a Fellow member. Fellow members are required to continuously complete at least 40 hours of the latest pediatric medical education until they retire from practice.
