Anger Ventilation and Passive Aggressive Anger Ventilation
The following is an example of a Q&A session on the online pediatric and adolescent health consultation regarding “Anger Ventilation, Anger (Anger), and My Child’s Behavior?”
Q&A. My child’s behavior is unusually aggressive. Anger Ventilation, Anger (Anger), and My Child’s Behavior?
Hello, teacher. It’s been a while since I visited.
I’d like to ask about my child’s aggressive behavior.
My daughter is now two years old. She’s been acting out unusually aggressively. She scratches family members with her nails, throws things frequently, and cries in a vehement manner. When we take her outside, she’s very active and plays well, and others say she’s docile. But she’s the same with us.
Is this due to a lack of love? Or is this just her natural temperament?
A.

● Hello. Thank you for your question. It’s a good question.
● I’ve just returned from a vacation to Korea, so please understand the delay in responding.
● The more information you provide, such as your child’s age, gender, past medical history, family medical history, physical examination findings, and clinical tests, the more helpful it is for me to answer your question. I will provide you with an answer based on the information you provided.
● Everyone gets angry.
● All newborns, infants, school-aged children, and adolescents get angry normally, and no adult, regardless of age or gender, is immune to anger.
● Getting angry is normal.
● The question is how to express the anger.
● Some children express their anger by screaming and yelling.
● Some children express their anger by hitting and breaking things.
● Others express their anger by throwing things.
● Sometimes, instead of directing their anger at the person who caused it, they express their anger at the wrong person or with the wrong focus.
● Some people express their anger by emotionally or physically hurting the person who caused it. ● Some people express their anger through passive-aggressive behavior, such as indirectly torturing others.
● Some children, when angry, even commit suicide by killing others or themselves.

▴ Photo 1-17. A three-year-old who used to scream loudly expresses his anger now smiles and plays. The worst form of anger expression is passive-aggressive behavior.

● While children naturally learn to express their anger in this way as they grow into adults, parents should teach their children how to express their anger in a positive way. Many parents don’t even realize how they express their anger.
Children and adolescents, as well as adults, often don’t know how to express anger appropriately.
Parents often focus solely on the consequences of their children’s anger.
Few books and few teachers teach the most appropriate ways to express anger.
Children and adolescents who haven’t learned how to express anger appropriately may express their anger by physically attacking others, throwing objects, or yelling.
A child can also become angry because of their own mistakes. A parent or someone else may have wronged them, causing the child to become angry.
Most parents can often understand why their children are angry.
If a child becomes angry because of a parent’s mistake, the parent should apologize to the child for the mistake.
● If your child gets angry because they did something wrong, you should explain in simple terms that it’s their own fault for them to be angry at someone else.
● You should also teach them to express their anger in a more positive and rational way.
● Rather than expressing their anger by throwing things, physically hurting others, or yelling, you should teach them how to express their anger by politely stating why they’re angry.
● When teaching them how to express their anger in this way, be sure to be discerning about the time and place.
● When they get angry because they did something wrong, you should teach them what’s wrong and how to avoid expressing their anger that way.
● You should train them in unconditional, genuine love through eye contact and physical touch.
● Do you know what the worst way to express anger in the world is?
● It’s the “passive-aggressive way.”
● Suicide is also a form of passive anger.
● Imagine how heartbroken their parents and siblings would be if their adolescent child committed suicide.
● Furthermore, imagine how heartbroken the people of a country would be if their leader committed suicide.
● Suicide is also a form of anger expression.
● However, expressing anger through yelling, pinching, and scratching is much better than expressing it passively.
● Please seek a diagnosis from a child psychiatrist and discuss this issue.
● Please refer to [Parents Should Become Anti-Doctors – Pediatric and Family Nursing Encyclopedia] – Volume 22, How to Raise Your Sons and Daughters – Love, Aggressive Behavior, Explosions, and Anger Expressions.
● Please refer to “Anger” in “How to Really Love Your Teenager,” by Dr. Rose Campbell.
● Please contact me again if you have any further questions.
● Thank you.

I believe that it has been more than a century since we needed a parenting information bible in Korean that anyone can easily access and read, anywhere, anytime, to promote health, one of the basic necessities of life for Koreans of all ages and genders in Korea and around the world.
If I have the time, I would like to give the Parenting Bible to every Korean family around the world.
If I have the time, I would like to give the Parenting Bible to every Korean family around the world.
If I have the time, I would like to give the Parenting Bible to my beloved Korean parents. I’d like to read the entire Bible aloud to you.
Of course, there may be shortcomings. I am confident that if you refer to other parenting bibles while raising your children, they will undoubtedly grow up happily.
